System 1 - as discussed in RE-describe the VSM, this needs two symbols - one for the value production activity, and the other for the internalised systems 3,4,5, labelled 'Creative Control' (the system 2 symbol is small enough to work when small).
Value Production Activity is considered as a factory, but more usefyll and abstractly as a hexagon, connoting 'nuts&bolts' at the same time as 'busy bees'. The addition of a circle that is not perfectly coincident (as will happen when hand drawn) gives dynamism without complexity.

The Creative Control system is a representation of the operations of Systems 3,4 and 5 at the lowest level of iteration represented - and ultimately within a single human agent.
It is developed to include aspects of the Heart, the Steersman and the Control Tower. Increasing abstraction results in a characterful symbol with complexity and capacity, without becoming over-complex.

# Vector (svg) drawings Here we have a look at a number of versions of the above designs translated into vector graphics (svg), so that they can be used in a more flexible, performative and interactive way in the software development process.
