It is important to value to input of conservative thought in innovation. It is not simply about learning from the past, it is about understanding the archetecture fo change, and the role of convention in stabalising or energising that change.
It is the synergy, or koan formed by an initiative which can be described both as **nothing new** and as entirely new that often has the greatest potential. This was true of the internet - which was both nothing new and an entierely new and revolutionary platform at the same time - and is also true with digital institutions.
